FUNCTION
The EVS Supervisor is responsible for managing the Environmental Services (EVS) team, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all public areas, employee workspaces, and back-of-house facilities. This role ensures the safety, cleanliness, and positive guest experience within the facility by maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, while leading the team to achieve operational goals. The EVS Supervisor plays a key role in creating a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for both guests and staff.

- Supervise and lead the EVS team to ensure that cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently met across all areas of the facility, including public spaces, employee areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Issue daily cleaning assignments to staff, providing clear direction and ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Monitor team performance, providing coaching, training, and guidance to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
- Schedule staff based on business needs and peak hours to maintain a high standard of cleanliness without disruption to guest experience.
- Conduct routine inspections of all public and employee areas, identifying any maintenance or cleanliness concerns and ensuring corrective actions are taken immediately.
- Oversee deep cleaning and special projects, ensuring proper cleaning methods are followed and work is completed in a timely manner.
- Manage the cleaning of sensitive areas such as bathrooms, dining areas, and gaming floors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and that materials are used efficiently.
- Distribute necessary supplies to the team at the start of each shift and maintain control over supply usage to minimize waste and manage costs.
- Report equipment maintenance needs and supply shortages to the Facility Supervisor and/or Director of Facilities for timely resolution.
- Respond to guest concerns or complaints regarding cleanliness, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests, ensuring that all areas are presentable and hygienic.
- Actively engage with guests, providing information or assistance related to cleanliness issues and enhancing their overall experience.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, maintenance management software) and record-keeping systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in environmental services or facilities management preferred.
- Previous experience in environmental services or custodial management, particularly in a high-volume facility, such as a casino, hotel, or entertainment venue, preferred.
- The ability to lift, push and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
