FUNCTION
The Food Runner ensures timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests in the gaming facility’s dining areas. This role bridges the communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, contributing to a seamless dining experience for guests.

- Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to dining tables or designated areas.
- Ensure all food items meet quality and presentation standards before delivery to guests.
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Monitor guest needs and promptly address additional requests or concerns.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
- Ensure proper handling and transportation of food items to prevent spillage or contamination.
- Support the kitchen team by retrieving and restocking supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing and use of gloves.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of service areas for special events or peak service times.
- Other duties as assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service role preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
