Receiving Attendant

 FUNCTION

The Receiving Attendant is essential in ensuring the efficient flow of goods into the facility, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding high standards of quality and accuracy.

 SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
•  Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
•  Ensure proper labeling and storage of received items to maintain an organized warehouse environment.
•  Assist in the inventory management process, updating systems with accurate stock levels and locations.
•  Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the timely distribution of supplies and materials.
•  Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.
•  Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
•  Assist with regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
•  Other duties as assigned.

 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
•  Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures is a plus.
•  Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is required.
•  Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
