Job Summary
Leads team members for computed tomography area or function by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision making/problem solving.
- Acts in a lead capacity to ensure patients are prepared and equipment is correctly adjusted for procedures; instructs patients and their families before, during and after procedure.
- Responsible for quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and trouble shooting.
- In charge of inventory and ordering supplies.
- Responsible for training, addressing deficiencies via PIP, and completion of competencies as required by JCO.
- Manages patient care assignments and manages workflow for the department.
- Identifies and establishes the correct conditions the correct conditions that affect safety and patient satisfaction; upholds safety standards.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Science required upon hire OR
- Associate's degree or higher in related field required upon hire
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 1 year relevant experience required
- RT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiology required upon hire AND
- BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 180 days of employment in this position AND
- RT(CT) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Computed Tomography required within 180 days of employment in this position
