General Overview:

Lawncare Crew members work under the guidance of a Crew Leader/Supervisor and are primarily responsible for the physical labor involved in landscape installation and lawncare maintenance. This is a physically demanding position, requiring a strong work ethic, physical stamina and attention to detail. An ability to work in all weather conditions, to work well independently and as part of a team, and effective communication are important qualities for this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Landscape/Lawncare Crew members are primarily responsible for routine lawncare and seasonal cleanups and may assist in landscape installations. These tasks require the following:

· Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, raking, wheelbarrowing, and brush hauling/dragging

· Demonstrate proficiency in operating manual tools such as shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows. Routinely use these tools in a safe and effective manner

· Demonstrate proficiency in operating power tools and equipment such as weed whackers, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers in a safe and effective manner

· Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order

· Load and unload materials, tools and equipment required for daily work tasks

· Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the work site before leaving

· Follow safety guidelines and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

· Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner

· Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure quality products/services

· Follow direction, both verbal and written

· Drive work vehicles and trailers to and from job sites

· Effectively communicate with supervisors and other crew members

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stay physically active for entire shift, with regularly scheduled breaks

· Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs

· Ability to carry heavy equipment, such as leaf blowers, for extended periods with regularly scheduled breaks

· Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, standing, walking, and use of power tools and equipment such as weed whackers and leaf blowers on uneven terrain

· Good eyesight (corrective lenses allowed), spatial recognition and balance

· Good hand-eye coordination

· Frequent reaching, gripping, squeezing, pulling, pushing and throwing

· Frequent lifting, dragging, and transferring loads

· Ability to stay seated for extended periods, such as when using a lawnmower, with regularly scheduled breaks

· Ability to safely use vibrating tools such as weed whackers and leaf blowers for extended periods with regularly scheduled breaks

· Ability to work in a noisy environment with ear protection

· Ability to withstand heat and cold, such as during summer and winter months, utilizing appropriate safety precautions

Additional Requirements:

·Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

·Adherence to all policies and procedures, whether communicated verbally or in writing

· Valid license and clean driving record

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 – 32 per week
