Owl Labs is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. The SQA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of testing embedded devices and IoT products. This role involves working closely with the development team to identify issues early in the development cycle, create and execute test plans, and continuously improve the testing process.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop, document, and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on the software requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to understand product requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of software applications.
- Execute automated and manual tests to ensure the software meets the required standards of quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the software.
- Work closely with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on test results.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies and tools.
