The Renewals Specialist manages internal administrative tasks related to customer renewals, collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth processing. Ideal candidates exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across departments. Own is looking for a motivated Renewals Specialist, vital for customer retention and revenue growth. This role requires proactive individuals with organizational and communication skills, a customer-focused approach, a dedication to customer success, and a track record of meeting renewal metrics and KPIs, including engaging with customers to support renewal efforts.
Your Day-to-Day Role- Renewal Management: Assume ownership of the end-to-end renewal process for existing customers within your assigned customer base, including renewal quote creation and tracking purchase orders.
- Opportunity and Contract Review: Review Closed Won Expansion opportunities to ensure accuracy. Validate open renewal opportunities to confirm data consistency. Understand contractual special terms, engage in contract negotiations when necessary within approved guidelines, and drive open renewals to closure.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers before renewal to understand their needs, and timelines, address any concerns, and highlight the value proposition of our solutions.
- Data Quality: Follow operational practices related to data hygiene while contributing to improving standards for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and relevance.
- Data Cleanup: Document step-by-step procedures for data cleanup, including identifying and correcting errors, deduplication, standardizing formats, and verifying data integrity. Identify and resolve issues arising from multiple SKUs for improved clarity.
- SFDC License Object Verification: Ensure the accuracy of purchase capacity in the licensing object while reviewing the potential for revenue growth in identifying true-ups throughout the contractual term.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Track and report on renewal metrics, including renewal rates, churn/down-sell rates, and renewal-related pipeline and forecasts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure a seamless renewal process and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize the renewal process to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.
- Operational Assistance: Work with Customer Success Managers to assist them with operations related to customer lifecycle management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing, or 2 years equivalent job related experience within a SaaS company
- Proven track record of managing internal processes and driving renewals, and exceeding renewals targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective internal collaboration.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in CRM software, Salesforce and Google Workspace
- Knowledge of the SaaS industry and subscription-based business models is desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, both independently and within a team
- Takes initiative, intellectually curious, and has a desire to learn
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of ourEnglewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
