Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Property Inspector to join our team and assist in ensuring our short-term rental properties are in top condition for guest and owner stays. As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional experience for our guests, and our Property Inspectors play a key role in maintaining this high standard. The Property Inspector's primary responsibility is to ensure the property is rental-ready after cleaning has been completed, making sure everything is in working order and meets our high standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Hiring for part or full time. Must be able to work Saturdays and some Sundays. Inspector position pays hourly based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Post-Cleaning Inspections:
- Inspect the property after the cleaners have completed their work, ensuring all areas are ready for guest check-in.
- Check that all furniture is arranged properly, beds are made, and linens are in place.
- Damage Assessment:
- Look for any damage, wear and tear, or missing items within the property.
- Report any issues or damage to the management team for quick resolution.
- Operational Checks:
- Verify that all key property systems (HVAC, lights, appliances, etc.) are in good working order.
- Ensure all electronics (TVs, remotes, etc.) are functioning properly.
- Check that all windows and doors are secure and that no safety issues are present.
- General Property Checks:
- Verify that all supplies are replenished (toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc.) for the next guest.
- Ensure the property is free from debris and trash and that everything is clean, organized, and ready for guest use.
- Reporting:
- Communicate effectively with the housekeeping and management teams regarding any issues or concerns.
- Use a checklist to ensure all aspects of the property have been inspected and are in proper condition.
Expectations:
- Attention to Detail: Must be thorough and meticulous in checking every detail of the property, ensuring everything is in perfect condition for guests.
- Work Independently: You will be working independently and expected to manage your time efficiently to ensure properties are ready for guest check-in.
- Quick Turnaround: During peak season (summer), the ability to work quickly while maintaining high standards is essential.
- Communication: Must have excellent communication skills to report issues and updates clearly to the management team.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $13.50 - $15.50 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule and Availability:
- Immediate Availability: We are looking for someone who can start immediately.
- Weekend and High Season Availability: Expect to work quickly and independently during peak summer months with fast turnarounds between guest stays.
Additional Requirements:
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel between properties.
- Experience: Previous experience in property inspection or short-term rental management is a plus but not required.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently in a high-energy environment.
