Owyhee Environmental, a growing pest control company serving the Boise area, is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and leadership-driven service manager in training to learn the ins and outs of managing service operations while gaining the experience needed to transition into a full service manager role.

In this position, you’ll split your time between hands-on fieldwork and leadership development, starting with a deep understanding of our services, processes and quality standards before transitioning into managing service professionals and overseeing operations. Working closely with our director of operations and experienced leadership team, you’ll develop the skills needed to become a service manager while taking on key responsibilities such as managing service operations, training and developing service professionals, ensuring quality control, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and optimizing team efficiency. You’ll also learn to handle inventory management, vehicle maintenance and record-keeping to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, we expect you to identify and promote additional services to customers, and we’ll reward you with a generous commission on any new business you bring in. Pretty cool, right?

Responsibilities at a glance

• Learn to oversee day-to-day service operations to ensure efficiency and quality
• Assist in hiring, onboarding and training new service professionals
• Perform routine quality assurance checks, including site visits, reviewing service notes and verifying documentation
• Maintain accurate records for service documentation, product inventory and vehicle maintenance
• Manage inventory and equipment, ensuring proper tracking and usage
• Develop leadership skills by participating in team meetings, one-on-one coaching and performance evaluations
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities for upsells and cross-sells
• Gain expertise in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Work toward transitioning into a service manager role within 12 - 18 months by completing training and demonstrating leadership skills

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in pest control services
• A goal-oriented and organized professional eager to transition into a leadership role
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of Excel and ability to learn our CRM system (FieldRoutes)
• Ability to split time between fieldwork and office responsibilities
• A team-player mentality with a strong work ethic
• Must pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay: $22.67 - $26.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Pest Control Service: 3 years (Preferred)
