Heavy-Duty Truck Technician

Ox Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles. We perform general maintenance and repairs on Suction Excavators, and other specialty equipment.

JOB DETAILS:
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Wage: $25-$30/hour
Hours: 42.5/Week - Monday – Friday 8AM to 5PM

Location: Chattanooga, TN – Willing to travel to various sites/locations occasionally

REQUIREMENTS:

· A minimum of 3 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks, including diesel engines (ASE certification is considered an asset)

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Vacuum truck or hydraulic experience is preferred

· Cummin’s or Detroit experience is an asset

· Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty trucks

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks and inspections on all heavy-duty trucks

· Work primarily in the company shop, but occasionally travel to various locations for on-site mobile work

· Document repairs, maintenance, and inspections accurately

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Ensure vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO:

• Demonstrate strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems
• Possess strong ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, training documents and complete repair procedures in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation regulations, as well as OEM repair standards
• Capable of working independently with minimal direction as well as in a team environment
• Can adapt to changing needs and tasks within the role as they arise, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives
