POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Global Accounts Receivable Manager role is responsible for overseeing the financial elements of the Order to Cash Process across a group of companies in different countries.

The role is also responsible for ensuring that the AR team globally supports the operations of the business in each region and delivers target AR metrics as part of the group’s working capital targets.

This role works with colleagues in Accounts Receivable, Operations and Technology to ensure that credit control, billings and collections processes are appropriate for the range of customers and markets in which the group operates. The Accounts Receivable Manager ensures that those processes are well understood, are aligned, makes use of the ERP and other available tools and are operating efficiently and effectively.

The role combines hands-on AR work, in particular oversight of large and global accounts, and the oversight, development and support of our onshore and offshore AR team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the financial elements of the global Order to Cash process
• Leading and training a global Accounts Receivable team - currently (1, UK, 1 x US, 7 X PHP)
• Managing resources from global team to ensure an effective billing, collection and accounting process is delivered to all global regions.
• Developing, aligning and controlling global Order to Cash processes across 3 global regions.
• Working with local Controllers, Commercial teams, Operations and Technology colleagues to streamline Order to Cash service in each region.
• Ensuring the effective operation of Accounts Receivable processes, including new customer setup, billing, disputes, collections and reporting.
• Minimizing Delinquencies, Losses and Days Delinquent KPIs.
• Managing the resolution of payment disputes and customer queries.
• Identifying the cost of customer deductions and claims, and supporting Operational teams in reducing the cost of process failures.
• Responsible for producing transparent reporting of the health of the O2C process, including ageing analysis, collection plans.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience leading and developing members of an Accounts Receivable function.
• Familiarity with Order to Cash and Accounts Receivable metrics and KPIs.
• Exposure to a range of customer account types from independent stores to very large retailers and e-commerce platforms.
• Ability to establish, monitor and improve Accounts Receivable processes.
• Experience of managing customer deductions and disputes, and working with colleagues in other functions to resolve customer queries.
• Ability to work with colleagues in other functions and regions to resolve operational issues which impact on Accounts Receivable collections.
• An understanding of how systems can be used to streamline Order to Cash processes.
