Location: Sacramento, CA; St Louis, MO
Reports To: Sr Principal Consultant / Executive Leadership
Job Type: Full-time
As a Principal Consultant, Enterprise Architect at Oxalis, you will lead customers through the design and implementation of modern enterprise architectures that span commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) SaaS platforms, low-code applications, integrated business systems, and custom developed systems. This is a strategic, technically-oriented leadership role that requires deep expertise in enterprise systems, thoughtful architectural decision-making, and the ability to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions.
You will work at the intersection of strategy, systems, and people—crafting future-state architectures, integrating platforms like Atlassian Cloud, SharePoint, data platforms, HCM systems such as Workday, and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, or Oracle, and guiding customers toward secure, performant, and resilient enterprise ecosystems. Your leadership will extend across customer engagements, internal capability building, and consultative delivery, helping Oxalis define and deliver best-in-class architecture services.
- Serve as lead architect for enterprise customers, guiding technology direction, integration strategy, and system modernization initiatives.
- Develop target-state architectures that unify cloud platforms, low-code apps, ERP systems, and business workflows into a coherent ecosystem.
- Design scalable and secure cross-platform integrations, data flows, and business logic using both COTS configuration and custom development approaches.
- Assess and advise on SaaS application governance, technical debt, performance, security, and lifecycle management.
- Bridge the gap between IT, business, and executive stakeholders, ensuring architecture supports measurable business outcomes.
- Lead the design and validation of technical architectures, including solution patterns, data models, and deployment strategies.
- Guide customers in configuring, extending, and integrating systems such as:
- Atlassian Cloud (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, etc.)
- Salesforce
- Microsoft SharePoint / Power Platform / Azure
- ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, Oracle)
- Establish integration patterns using middleware, APIs, and automation tools to connect cloud and on-premises systems.
- Support development of low-code applications and workflows where custom development is not needed, enabling rapid delivery and maintainability.
- Lead enterprise consulting engagements with a focus on technical delivery excellence and architectural integrity.
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical lead, working with Oxalis teams and customer stakeholders to manage scope, technical risks, and strategic alignment.
- Own engagement outcomes, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and with high impact.
- Provide mentorship to consultants on architecture best practices, integration patterns, and enterprise system design.
- Shape and grow Oxalis' Enterprise Architecture consulting capabilities, defining standards, frameworks, and reusable methodologies.
- Author technical documentation, white papers, and architecture guides to support both customer delivery and internal capability building.
- Participate in pre-sales and account development by helping shape solution designs, project scoping, and estimates.
- 10 years of professional experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, and technical consulting.
- Deep experience designing and integrating solutions across SaaS, low-code, and ERP environments.
- Strong command of and proven experience with platforms such as:
- Atlassian Cloud (Jira, JSM, Confluence)
- Microsoft Power Platform / SharePoint / Azure
- Data and analytics platform like Databricks, Redshift, Tableau, or Snowflake
- ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, or Oracle
- Expertise in systems integration patterns, REST APIs, data architecture, and secure cross-platform communication.
- Experience with governance models, lifecycle planning, and architectural trade-offs in hybrid or cloud-native environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or commensurate professional experience.
- Enterprise or Solution Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure, Databricks Certified Professional, Atlassian Certified Expert).
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, ScriptRunner).
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to Oxalis customers (e.g., HIPAA, ITAR, DFARS, CUI, NIST).
