POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading and managing all financial functions for the Fruit Division of Oxbo. This role oversees financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for operations in Washington, California, and Brazil. The Director serves as a strategic partner to the division president and collaborates closely with the executive management team, providing insights to drive business growth and profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Leads the financial strategy, planning, and analysis for the Fruit Division.
· Develops annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
· Oversees financial operations across Washington, California, and Brazil facilities.
· Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive management team and CEO.
· Ensures compliance with internal financial policies, industry regulations, and international financial reporting standards (Dutch GAAP/ US GAAP).
· Collaborates with global finance team on audit processes and ensures timely completion of financial audits.
· Monitors production costs, overhead expenses, and cost-saving initiatives.
· Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
· Supports operational leaders with financial insights to optimize manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.
· Manages and mentors the finance teams across all operating regions.
· Promotes continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
· Collaborates with cross-functional leaders in sales, operations, and supply chain to support business objectives.
· Advises the president of the Fruit Division on key financial decisions and strategic initiatives.
· Participates in division-wide initiatives, including new market entry, capital investments, and mergers & acquisitions.
· Directly manages and supports team members in accounting.
· Supports effective and efficient business practice.
· Embraces and follows all safety policies, procedures, and programs.
· Maintains positive business relationships, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
· Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develops, coaches, and mentors peers, indirect, and subordinate staff.
· Assigns special projects to support efficient business practices and strategic objectives of the Finance Department.
· Promotes good working relationships and teamwork among staff.
· Responsible for the supervision of employee time and the timely review and approval of employee timecards.
· Directly involved in hiring, performance management, and termination decisions for direct reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
· 10 years in progressively responsible finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
· Experience in manufacturing and international operations
· Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting expertise.
· Proven leadership and team management abilities.
· Excellent communication skills to effectively present complex financial information.
· Proficient in using financial software (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI).
· Good understanding and ability to execute fundamental math concepts
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to analyze, solve problems, and make decisions
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with team members
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· CPA, CMA, or MBA
· Experience in the agricultural equipment industry
· Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
· Must have the ability to travel to company offsite meetings and operations in California, Washington, and Brazil as assigned or required.
· This position travels up to 10% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
