What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Validation and Verification Technician-Agricultural Equipment position at Oxbo International Corporation?
In this role, you will serve as a member of the PV&V team (Product Validation & Verification) responsible for the verification and validation of new products, major model changes, and design team testing needs as necessary. The group accomplishes this using various testing, recording, and data analysis methods including but not limited to field data acquisition, accelerated lifecycle and destructive testing. In this position you will work to support prototype machine field testing, accelerated lifecycle testing, building and monitoring of subsystem test stands, and assist in the completion of Product Test Plans and data acquisition needs.
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to assist in the assembly of prototype equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and record performance metrics on new product lines during field testing activities.
- Work with cooperators during field testing to ensure minimal disruption to their daily activities.
- Assist in the completion of chassis accelerated lifecycle tests.
- Assemble prototype test stand and machine testing components.
- Validation of prototype equipment software along with yearly production equipment software updates.
- Responsible for monitoring and completing daily logs of in-process prototype test stands.
- Maintain R&D workspace and test equipment.
- Complete or assist in the completion of Product Test Plans.
- Assist in the installation of test equipment for product data acquisition.
- Travel as required for product field testing/ validation.
- Assist in the yearly verification of test equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Associates degree preferred (two-year college or technical school).
- Two to four years’ related experience in one of the following: Welding and machine fabrication or Mobile agriculture machinery service.
- Some experience preferred: Hydraulic and electrical systems & Diesel engine troubleshooting and maintenance.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- The ability to travel up to 30% of the time (based on seasonal testing needs)
- Clean driving record
