Oxbo is a leader in providing agricultural machinery to niche markets worldwide. The company currently has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in our global technology team. The position can be based at one of the following Oxbo facilities : Roosendaal (NL), Uberaba (Brazil), Lynden (WA) or Byron (NY).
The Senior Software Engineer will help develop Oxbo’s next generation Machine Application Framework (MAF). The MAF will run on embedded controllers and communicate with operator displays and on vehicle modems. This will be an integral part of Oxbo’s move toward autonomous machine control.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Comprehension of enterprise needs and capabilities of enterprise personnel
- Actively participate in architecture design and helping to develop solutions to meet the needs of the enterprise
- Design and implementation of MAF features (in C) that will support the enterprise
- Act as an advocate for best software engineering practices within the enterprise
- Responsible for configuration management of the MAF
- Attend product development meetings to keep abreast of product development needs and timing
- Create software test documents and bench test software before releasing to HIL and / or field testing
- Willingness to adjust day to day work hours to accommodate meeting times with European partners (relatively early mornings, on occasion)
