Responsibilities
Lead Financial planning and analysis efforts to develop budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing activities and inventory management goals.
Regularly review, analyze, and report operational financial data and KPI’s, assess performance, and develop action plans to improve outcomes.
Develop/Enhance Standard Operating Procedures and internal controls for plant activities and inventory transactions
Participate in plant and inventory continuous improvement initiatives as the finance subject matter expert
Establish and maintain material and labor standard costing rates including bill of material cost rolls and periodic full standard cost roll updates.
Responsible for monthly accounting close and reporting for plant operations and inventory including analysis and reconciliation of variances, plant costs, coverage, scrap, obsolete inventory expense, and balance sheet inventory.
Maintain parts database in ERP system
Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost.
Analyze results of inventory counts and their impact on the financial results
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations
Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and analytical skills
Commitment to excellence, high standards, and data integrity
Effective communication including writing, speaking and active listening
Collaboration and teamwork with team members across the business
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
5 years of cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
Knowledge of GAAP compliance and applicable regulations
ERP Systems Experience – Epicor, QAD, SAP, JD Edwards experience preferred
Must be a self-starter with strong enterprising skills and highly motivated to succeed
