Functions/Responsibilities

- Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and lead the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cost accounting.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion as well as timely and accurate tax returns.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to accounting standards, laws, and best practices.
- General Accounting & Reconciliation
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure and improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budget reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage and review bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for business operations.
- Assist in developing financial strategies to improve profitability and cost control.

- Assist with special financial projects, as needed, including system upgrades, process improvements, and reporting enhancements.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate finance. Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
