Quality Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in a textile manufacturing environment to work in our Fort Mill, SC facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, process improvement, and product testing in the textile industry. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in managing quality systems, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve operational efficiency. The Quality Engineer will be working directly with production personnel, shipping and receiving, sales department, supply chain and the Quality Manager within the organization. The person will also assist the Quality Manager in resolving customer complaints and supply chain nonconformances and help communicate corrective and preventive actions throughout the organization. This person will also assist the Quality Manager in the management of federal and international regulations regarding products for sale to customers. This person will also report to the Quality Manager and assist in ISO 9001 Compliance activities.
Please note: This position requires daily on-site work and is not eligible for a remote or hybrid work schedule. Functions/Responsibilities

- Build relationships with team members demonstrating care and concern for their well-being and success. Remove barriers and obstacles that prevent the team from accomplishing objectives
- Investigate and resolve product quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures using a variety of tools such as 5-Why analysis, Fishbone, etc.
- Able to investigate nonconformances or failures that occur in production and warehouse departments, while working with a team for continual improvement
- Developing corrective and preventive actions in conjunction with team members
- Implementing corrective and preventive actions, then monitoring the verification of those actions
- Working with team members from production, sales, and supply chain to investigate nonconformances and develop corrective actions
- Maintaining product compliance database for domestic and international regulations
- Creation of Certificate of Analysis for products received from suppliers
- Implementing effective quality controls, teaching production staff how to use them and supervise outcomes
- Conduct training on new work instructions and procedures and mentoring to other quality, warehouse and production staff on quality standards, tools and techniques.
- Conduct internal audits during audit cycle. Must have 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry or relevant experience
- Certification in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Experience:
- 5 years as a Quality Technician or Engineer
- Experience using Root Cause analysis tools
- Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific standards.
- Familiarity with testing methods and equipment used in textile quality assurance.
Skills:
- Microsoft Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
License or Certification:
- Preferred ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
