What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Procurement and Sourcing position at OxeFit?
Salary Range: Based on experience
As a Director of Procurement and Sourcing, you will have the opportunity to support the creation of OxeFit’s advanced strength training system units through product BOM management, sourcing, purchase planning, and buyer communications.
Essential Functions:
- Manage product items/BOMs
- Source for high-quality product prototypes while facilitating change management and phasing parts in/out
- Ensure schedule control and consistent inventory planning
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Production, Quality, and external vendors
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
- Generate and manage purchase orders
- Negotiate purchasing terms
- Find vendors
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, mechanical or electrical engineering
- Able to problem solve and think critically
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience in MRP logics and application
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- Able to speak Mandarin/Chinese for communicating with overseas vendors
