Key Responsibilities:
Power Infrastructure: Evaluate electrical capacity, redundancy, energy cost, and utility partnerships.
Cooling & Thermal Management: Assess and plan cooling systems (air, liquid, hybrid) for high-density GPU clusters.
Network Connectivity: Analyze fiber infrastructure, latency, and ISP options; negotiate service agreements.
Scalability & Space Planning: Evaluate space for server expansion, review zoning/building codes, and plan for future AI growth.
Risk & Environmental Assessment: Analyze disaster risks, environmental regulations, and plan for operational disruptions.
Cost & Budgeting: Calculate total cost of ownership (TCO), balancing CapEx and OpEx for long-term viability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, utilities, and local governments to align site choices with business goals.
Compliance: Ensure alignment with data center standards, security requirements, and regulatory considerations.
Market Intelligence: Understand local advantages, incentives, talent access, and competitive landscape.
Problem-Solving: Tackle issues like limited power or cooling through creative and scalable solutions.
Qualifications:
5 years in power infrastructure and cooling systems for data centers
3 5 years in risk evaluation, cost analysis, site planning, and network evaluation
Experience with high-density AI/GPU workloads preferred
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with data center standards and compliance regulations
