Required Skills and Experience:
- Functional process expertise in Finance and/or Accounting systems and processes.
- Proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
- Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Exceptional analytical and statistical skills to address systems issues and product needs.
- Strong project management skills and proficiency with project management software, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
- Understanding of application development and the software development life cycle.
- Ability to influence teams to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.

Preferred Experience:
- Professional certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Identify project stakeholders, user classes, and their characteristics.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other methods to gather user requirements.
- Define the scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis, including project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
- Work with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize requirements.
- Review and analyze existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for improvements.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Assist in research and evaluation of software and hardware solutions to meet agreed-upon requirements.
- Participate in QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions are enabled and optimized.
- Contribute to the selection of requirements documentation software.
Operational Management
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Use standard templates to write clear, concise requirements specifications.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements understandable by developers and the project team.
- Develop prototypes for interfaces and attributes based on user requirements, when applicable.
- Create process models, specifications, and diagrams to guide developers and the project team.
- Conduct peer reviews to ensure business requirements are correctly interpreted.
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle and adjust as needed.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Serve as the department’s Solution(s) configuration subject matter expert (SME).
