Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including cloud-based networking components, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Resolve advanced network issues escalated from lower support tiers, focusing on timely resolution and minimizing operational impact.
- Monitor network performance, proactively identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to maintain network health and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices, specifically within a cloud networking environment.
- Conduct regular network performance analysis and capacity planning to anticipate future requirements and recommend network enhancements, emphasizing cloud networking.
- Provide training to junior network engineers and support staff on network technologies, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques, including cloud networking concepts.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network designs, configurations, processes, and procedures, focusing on cloud and networking components.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in network engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a network support role with a deep understanding of LAN/WAN design, configuration, management, and cloud networking.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, VPN, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls (Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and access control systems, within a cloud networking environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for effectively resolving complex network issues.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios), with experience in monitoring cloud networking components.
- Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, load balancers, and network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Juniper), as well as cloud networking components like virtual networks, subnets, VPN gateways, and cloud-based connectivity solutions.
Salary : $165,000 - $185,000
