The initial project will involve disassembling and reassembling a complex electromechanical device while taking measurements.
Work will be both onsite and at an external test lab observing the execution of testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments, focused on mechanical testing and prototyping.
· Will develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed.
· Required to make detailed observations of tests, analyze data, and interpret results.
· Will maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory level of laboratory supplies.
· Will document summaries of testing and may write test protocols and reports.
· May support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
· May be assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. product performance and software script testing).
· May support the prototyping and rework of medical devices, including mechanical and electrical activities.

Education and/or Experience:
· Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
· High School diploma or equivalent, an AA degree is strongly preferred.
· A bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred.
· 1 years’ experience in an electro-mechanical laboratory environment
· Basic computer skills
Preferred:
· B.S. in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
· Experience with engineering tools and statistical software.
· Ability to understand technical schematics and statistical tools.
· Experience with tensile test systems, and other mechanical laboratory equipment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
