Job Responsibilities : Meet and greet members. Ensure members receive prompt service at the Cafe. Take order for food and beverages. Ability to operate a POS terminal.
Reports to: Café Manager, Kitchen Manager
Job Duties
- Ensuring a warm and welcoming environment, fast and efficient service.
- Maintain clean an tidy service area at all times.
- Ability to operate POS terminal.
- Communicates with supervisors/leadership team to maintain the same practices and secure policy and procedure at all levels of the operation. Communicates cafe goals to team effectively and motivates others.
- Monitors inventory levels and communicates with vendors to maintain business relationships and secure appropriate pricing, in coordination with the cafe manager.
- Maintains inventory of grab and go items, as well as prepackaged food items.
- Ensuring food orders are transmitted to kitchen in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensures pick-up and deliver of food orders to guest in a timely manner.
- Communicates service issues and guest complaints to Cafe Manager and Kitchen Manager promptly.
- Ensure juice and smoothie bar is set up according to expected business patterns.
- Inventory on a weekly basis all products required for smoothie production. Communicate with the Cafe Manager in a timely fashion when these items need procured.
- Safeguard quality and quantity of food prep is at the standards set by Kitchen Manager.
- Ensure staff follows smoothie recipes, update recipes
- Ensure health code standards meet the guidelines set by Allegheny County Health Department.
- Takes the lead on coordinating events and ensuring the execution from start to finish.

- Servesafe certified
- Experience working in a fast-paced food and beverage service industry, preferred
