Yoga and Aerial Yoga Instructors
Overview
Oxford Athletic Club is the most extensive private health and fitness club in the Pittsburgh area and is nationally recognized by International Health, Racquet, and Sports Associations (IHRSA) for excellence. We are currently interviewing certified Yoga instructors and Aerial Yoga Instructors to teach group classes.
Job Duties:
1. Part -time position.
2. Maintains all First Aid / CPR Certifications and Yoga and/or Aerial Yoga Certifications.
3. Communicates to Group Fitness Manager
4. Develops specific training sessions for each client, if applicable.
5. Responsible for the safe design of classes and exercises.
6. Keep studios swept, tidy, and organized. Keeps supplies and equipment clean and well maintained.
7. Assists with and promotes special events and programs to the Club Membership by keeping current with Club events, flyers, and meeting information.
8. Resolves any Member issues through effective customer service skills and by referring issue to the appropriate manager. Contact Manager on Duty (MOD) if unsure of how to resolve a situation.
9. Enforces current OAC Club and departmental policies by keeping current with changes and utilizing effective communication skills.
10. Performs first aid and emergency responder techniques by maintaining CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Must be aware of appropriate emergency response.
11. Attends scheduled departmental meetings and educational training sessions, as required.
12. Supports supervisors and fellow staff in providing quality programs and services to our Members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed one’s expectations.
13. Completes all other tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor, Director, or Club Managers.
Education & Training:
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required.
- In-house training on policies and procedure as provided by management.
- Current National Yoga and/or Aerial Yoga Certification required.
- Minimum RYT 200 Hours Yoga Certification.
Work Experience: At least one-year teaching experience is recommended.
Skills & Abilities:
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, and pleasant. Exhibits a professional manner, discretion, arrives on time, and ensures a safely designed class for participants. Displays a professional appearance in dress and grooming that is representative of our brand. Excellent verbal / written communication and promotional skills are necessary. Must have Yoga education (minimum of RYT 200 Hours) and teaching experience and/or Aerial Yoga teaching experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
