Job Qualification Statement
The successful drop team attendant candidate will demonstrate the ability to work quickly, safely and accurately in small teams while performing manual work in a fast paced environment. The candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge and ability with office machines such as use of a calculator, computer equipment and currency count machines. The employee must be 18 years of age and able to read, write and speak in English. The employee will be able to distinguish monetary denominations for counting and verification.
Essential Job Function
- While working assembly-line style in a small team, must be able to open and empty slot machine bill validators and collect and transport the validator boxes to the Count Room while under Security escort.
- Accurately and with attention to detail, collect, count and verify funds and paperwork in the Count Room. Complete any necessary forms and paperwork.
- Communicate with team members, manager and attending departments any issues.
- Listen and follow procedures and directions, including job safety rules and regulations as well as compliance with State of Maine Gaming Regulations, Oxford Casino Internal Controls and security procedures.
- Teamwork.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Able to work early morning shifts (4 or 4:30am).The work is of a high physical requirement. Typically this would consist of exerting up to 50 pounds of force often, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Must be able to push and pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 300lbs. There is standing for sustained periods of time (7/8 hours) and pushing, pulling, grasping, stooping, and crouching, reaching, walking, fingering and repetitive motions. A good sense of balance, and able to work in an enclosed room is necessary. There is a need for close visual acuity to prepare data and figures, view a computer terminal and operate machinery.
