The primary responsibility of the Rooms Inspector is to ensure that the guestrooms are cleaned and sanitized meeting the Oxford Collection of hotels standards of cleanliness; and ready for guest accommodations while complying with the Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for inspecting the Housekeepers’ work on a daily basis ensuring guest rooms are ready for occupancy for the guests of the Oxford Suites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.
Guestroom Inspection (70%):
- Inspect rooms for proper cleaning, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, floor surfaces, and more
- Ensure proper bed making by Room Attendants
- Confirm proper dusting of all room items including wall hangings
- Verify thorough vacuuming of the room and removal of all trash
- Ensure all amenities and supplies in guest rooms are replenished
- Monitor Housekeepers progress throughout their shift, checking that Housekeeper carts are properly stocked
- Give proactive feedback and direct staff in improving cleanliness on a room by room basis
- Communicate ready rooms as soon as they become available to both clean and rent
- Submit maintenance reports/requests to the Maintenance Department for any issues identified
- Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments
- Perform housekeeping, laundry, and/or houseperson functions including deep cleaning whenever necessary
- Assist in training new employees and providing continuous on-the-job training
- Assist with special requests and the issuance of supplies to staff, and log items into the Lost & Found log as needed
- Assist in the preparation of opening or closing of the day
Guest Relations (20%):
- Interact and acknowledge guests in a friendly and customer focused manner
- Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectations.
- Report any guest complaints to supervisor or property management team
- Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guests
- Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure the smooth delivery of services
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
- Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside in a variety of weather conditions
