The primary responsibility of the Laundry Attendant is to ensure that linen is clean, sanitized and available for use by hotel Housekeepers and other departments as needed while complying with the Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting and distribution of all hotel linen.

The primary responsibility of the Laundry Attendant is to ensure that linen is clean, sanitized and available for use by hotel Housekeepers and other departments as needed while complying with the Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting and distribution of all hotel linen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.
Laundry (85%):
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, item, and soil concentration to maximize cleaning effectiveness
- Remove damaged or stained items before loading washers, pretreat stains as needed
- Ensure washer/dryer loads to recommended capacities
- Set washers and dryers to appropriate cycles, heating, and cooling times to ensure safe and efficient laundering
- Operate, maintain, and clean laundry equipment following company standards
- Press, fold, and stack all linens
- Assist in delivering linens to designated closets and storage areas to meet production standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring that the laundry area is organized and free of safety hazards
Safety and Maintenance (5%):
- Follow all safety procedures to minimize hazards in the laundry area including proper handling of all hazardous materials following Blood Borne Pathogen protocols
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages immediately to the supervisor
- Be knowledgeable about and respond to emergency situations effectively
- Interact professionally with guests and staff, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectations.
- Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team to meet daily linen needs and service goals
- Keep the supervisor informed of any issues or unusual situations that may impact operations
- Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure the smooth delivery of services
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts
- Other duties as assigned

- Hospitality / Hotel Work Experience preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
- Must be able to work in heat
- Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs
