A busser for our restaurant sets tables, cleans, and helps guests with their dining experience. They also support the waitstaff and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Set tables: Use clean linens, silverware, and glassware
- Clean: Clean tables, floors, and furniture
- Remove dishes: Take away dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware
- Serve beverages: Help serve water, bread, and other drinks
- Stock: Stock side stations with supplies
- Prepare dining room: Prepare the dining room for guests
- Maintain menu presentation: Keep menu items presented well
- Support waitstaff: Help servers and other staff members
Skills
- Teamwork: Work well with other staff members
- Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks at once
- Customer service: Be polite, professional, and pleasant with guests
- Physical stamina: Be able to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays
- Attention to detail: Notice when guests need something
- Flexibility: Be able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hygiene awareness: Understand food safety and hygiene rules
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and or walk for long periods of time.
