The ideal candidate must have excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills, welcoming demeanor, articulate, eloquent in presentation and comfortable with computers. This position involves a large volume of guest contact and excellent communication skills are required.

Job Requirements
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
- Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
- Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance.
- Seat guests according to the seating plan, pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting. Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Monitor dining rooms and communicate with management any potential issues during, before, and after service concerning satisfaction, safety, and well being of guests
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing constant cleaning processes.Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure they are happy with food and service.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Hostess Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication, both face-to-face and on the telephone.
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
- Fine Dining Restaurant experience a plus.
- Strong team working and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a standing position and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
