About Us:
SH19 is an extension of The Stovall House, offering a Racquet Sport based recreational amenity to all active members. Recreational offerings include 5 Pickleball courts, 2 Padel courts, 2 cold plunges, 1 sauna, warm up and cool down equipment, a snack bar and a retail/pro shop.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pickleball Professional to join our team and help elevate our Pickleball programs. The Pickleball Professional will be responsible for delivering high-quality Pickleball instruction, organizing and leading leagues, tournaments, clinics, & camps and enhancing the overall Pickleball experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for the game, and a commitment to helping players improve their skills and enjoy the sport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide private and group lessons to members of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Organize and lead Pickleball leagues, tournaments, clinics, and camps that cater to various skill levels and age groups.
- Promote and oversee Pickleball socials, programming, and private events as assigned, in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Assess players' skills and progress, offering constructive feedback and personalized training plans.
- Ensure members understand Pickleball rules, etiquette, and safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to Pickleball programs.
- Actively promote Pickleball programs and events with members to foster community engagement and promote the sport.
- Work with management to order Pickleball merchandise as needed.
- Ensure the Pickleball courts and surrounding areas are well-maintained, safe, & welcoming, reporting any damage or required repairs to the General Manager.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
- Support event setup and takedown, ensuring facilities meet event requirements.
- Support the management team as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Professional certification from a recognized Pickleball organization (e.g., PPR, PCI, USPTA) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Pickleball techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and motivated with a passion for promoting the sport of Pickleball.
- Impeccable appearance and personal grooming.
- Flexibility to work during the day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and instruct for prolonged periods. Ability to lift 30 pounds, squat, bend, and carry out repetitive motions.
- Comfortable with working outdoors in different weather conditions as needed.
