What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Based Physical Therapist position at Oxford Consulting Services, Inc.?
Oxford Consulting Services is looking for a certified, and patient first mentality Physical Therapist to provide school-based services 5 days a week from March through August. Providers will work one on one with students, as well as other staff members and disciplines to provide customized programs and intervention to meet each student’s goals and needs. The ideal candidate will utilize a holistic approach, and will be able to adapt the environment to the client to best ensure client progress.

Job Description:
- Elementary caseload
- Address client’s progress and engagement in occupations that affect client’s health, well-being and living quality
- Determine and implement the client’s treatment methodology, as well as guidance in interventions
- Perform therapeutic services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and sensory needs.
- Planning, engagement, and implementation of IFSPs or IEPs
- Educate clients on better practices of approaching tasks and provide mentorship on how to work towards small goals.
- Provide proper care and instruction to family members and caregivers
- Oversight, data collection and correction on client progress towards long- and short-term treatment markers
Position Requirements:
- Active Physical Therapy License
- NJ School PT Certification
- MS degree or greater in Physical Therapy
- 2 years working experience as a Physical Therapist
- 1 year of school-based or clinical experience; children ages 3-18
- Experience in IEP services and assessments preferred
· Experience working with children with autism and their families
· Excellent organizational skills and great attention to details
· Candidates must be energetic, animated, and outgoing, with a passion for helping children achieve their true potential
