Oxford Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional with exceptional accounting and financial analysis expertise to join our Mexico team for the position of Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a financially strong, community oriented, member owned financial cooperative providing financial services to members in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset and York county, Maine. The successful candidate will support the VP of Finance in the department's day to day operations to ensure the institutions stability and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in preparing all financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial reports, NCUA call reports, informational reports and other reports requested from within and outside the Credit Union; ensures complete/accurate financial, statistical, and accounting records of the Credit Union.
Maintains and reviews for accuracy, all general ledger accounts. Works with staff to ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled on schedule and done in an accurate manner.
Makes recommendations for investment activities to optimize returns while balancing risk tolerance and liquidity requirements. Ensures that investment decisions align with the Credit Union's investment policy and regulatory guidelines.
Assists in the creation, monitoring and reporting on the status of the operating budget for the Credit Union.
Prepares Asset Liability reports quarterly for the Asset Liability Committee.
Assists in the administration of the Vendor Management Program and provides regular reporting to the VP Finance.
Gathers and shares information for external audits and exams. Provide management support during exams and audits and assists in the preparation of reports to the Supervisory Committee.
Assists in the preparation of the incentive goals for the Credit Union and monitors the progress of these goals on a regular basis.
Acts as a back-up for peers and covers absences in the Finance Department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., certifications in lieu of a degree).
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel and Access user.
- Experience with automated data processing systems including accounting software programs
- Knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and engage with various stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
