Job Details
Title: Test Technician (ATE/EAGLE Tester)
Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, CA
Length of Contract: 9-12 months at least, most likely extension, potential conversion.
Hours: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Process: 2 rounds of interview. First is Teams or Zoom meeting with hiring manager for 30-45 minutes. Second round for 1.5 hours with 2-3 members of the technical team, another manager, etc.

Scope
The Test Technician will support the hardware debug and data collection activity at the test house and at local and overseas manufacturing partners. Major responsibilities will be to maintain existing probe and handler hardware, debug and repair defective hardware, bring up brand new test and probe hardware, and assist in the transfer of HW overseas. Need this individual to Set up the EAGLE testers connecting the HW, loading the test program, running product and evaluating the results, the ability to work independently after training. They need to be able to Operate the EAGLE tester, setting it up, loading the software, running the test program with some ability to interpret the results. They should know how to run the test program. For example: if the 20% of the parts come as good and 80% is bad, they should have the knowledge to throw the data on the powerpoint and take it to the engineers. Need to have the Ability to use word, excel tools, dump data in excel, be able to present it to the engineers. They should be able to tell if something weird/off, then capture it, and then send it to the engineers. Prior experience on the eagle tester is key. Need this person to work Independently and take initiative is key.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain probe and handler test hardware Probe cards, handler interface boards, connector interface boards
- Coordinate with PCB vendors, get quotes and place orders for new hardware as needed.
- Assist in bringing up hardware at manufacturing partners overseas.
- Assist offshore manufacturing partners with debugging probe hardware issues.
- Learn wafer probe methodology of upcoming new products in preparation for mass production.
- Collect, and analyze data on wafers or final packaged IC s as requested by engineering teams.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation and specifications related to wafer sort and final test
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field desired.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in semiconductor industry required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and computer tasks required.
- Computer programming skills are a plus.
- Can work on a Saturday and/or Sunday if needed.
- Must have good planning skills and be able to work independently without supervision.
