We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Bouncer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for guests at our venue. This position requires strong conflict management skills, the ability to assess situations quickly, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Bouncer will be responsible for monitoring guest behavior, enforcing venue rules, and ensuring compliance with local laws.
Our operation is upscale with an older clientele. We are located in the former Roosters location upstairs above the Oxford Grillehouse.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entrance and exit points of the venue to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct ID checks to verify the age of patrons and prevent underage entry.
- Manage crowd control during busy events, ensuring guests are safe and comfortable.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or disturbances, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or security personnel when necessary.
- Utilize CCTV and surveillance equipment to monitor activities within the venue.
- Enforce venue policies regarding behavior, dress code, and prohibited items.
- Provide first aid or CPR assistance in emergency situations as needed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement or loss prevention is preferred.
- Certification in conflict management, CPR, or first aid is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and manage crowd control effectively.
- A professional appearance with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all patrons.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by event schedules.
