THE POSITION:
Occupational Therapist - Brighton – Full-time - No weekends
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to administer and develop treatment plans and programs
Helping patients to improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems
Teaching patients, family members or other caregivers’ skills and techniques to help with the patients’ treatment program
Knowledge of body mechanics for moving, lifting, or transferring patients
Ability to manage various clinical responsibilities effectively and efficiently
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Strong drive for improving and working on professional development
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Compassionate and kind demeanor
Excellent coaching and communication skills, both vocal and written
Computer skills, particularly with patient and healthcare databases
Capacity to build tailored instruction strategies
Education and Experience:
2 years OT experience preferred
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience working with adults and pediatrics
