Opening for a Civil Engineer in the Jackson, FL region for a role focused on Land Development projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to residential, commercial, and municipal projects while mentoring junior staff and taking a hands-on approach to engineering design and project delivery.
In this role you will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering calculations, construction plans, and reports, with a strong focus on site grading, stormwater management, and utility design.
Essential Functions
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Prepare engineering design calculations and create construction plans to support land development projects.
- Design and oversee site grading, stormwater management systems, utility layouts, and project details.
- Write comprehensive drainage and utility reports to support project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams to ensure compliance with Florida permitting processes and local regulations.
