Computer Aided Design Operator

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a skilled CAD Operator to support architectural and construction drafting projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in 2D drafting with AutoCAD 2019 and a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role will primarily involve producing detailed technical drawings and ensuring compliance with project standards. A portfolio showcasing drafting work will be required.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD for various projects, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Review and update existing technical drawings based on client or project manager feedback.
• Ensure compliance with project standards and industry codes in all drafted materials.
• Collaborate with design teams and project managers to meet project deadlines and resolve drafting challenges.
• Maintain organized project documentation and version control for all drawings.
• Support the design team by preparing technical details and layouts for construction and architectural plans.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of experience in architectural drafting or construction drawing production.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is required, and proficiency in AutoCAD 3D is essential for design visualization and creating detailed construction models.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve drafting errors or inconsistencies.
• Basic understanding of architectural and construction principles to effectively interpret and produce technical drawings.
• Proven ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers.
• Portfolio showcasing previous AutoCAD drafting work is required.
