Opening for a Database Administrator. This role is critical in managing, optimizing, and maintaining database systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting business operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry and a strong background in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support business operations and applications.
- Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security.
- Develop, modify, and manage reports using Crystal Reports and Power BI for data visualization and analytics.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of WMS and ERP systems.
- Manage database backups, disaster recovery plans, and system updates.
- Monitor database performance, analyze queries, and optimize indexes and stored procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies and best practices.
- Provide support and training to internal users as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
- Strong expertise in WMS and ERP systems (experience with specific platforms is a plus).
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database management systems.
- Experience with Crystal Reports and Power BI for data reporting and visualization.
- Knowledge of database security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
