Oxford Solutions is working with a client looking to hire a Director of Robotics to lead the design and development of innovative robotic systems. This role is onsite and oversees a team of engineers.
As Director, you’ll guide strategic initiatives in robotics, autonomy, perception, and human-robot interaction. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to technical architecture, and ensure high-quality systems are delivered to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying ahead in a rapidly evolving field.
Essential Functions
- Lead and mentor a global robotics engineering team
- Drive strategy for robotic system design, development, and integration
- Provide hands-on technical direction and support across the full development lifecycle
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Advocate for product and system improvements to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10 years of robotics engineering experience
- Expertise in C, C , Python, and ROS
- Experience in system architecture, machine perception, computer vision, and machine learning
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Background in industrial robotics; agile environment experience is a plus
