This role focuses on developing and implementing cutting-edge automation systems, particularly for DC and AC drive upgrades. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in drive systems, power technologies, and process applications such as melting, casting, or rolling mill operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of automation solutions focused on drive and power technology.
- Perform DC and AC drive system upgrades, including design, configuration, and commissioning.
- Review and define power system requirements for drive feeders and protection.
- Evaluate and outline regulator performance and response based on specific process applications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on metals industry processes such as melting, casting, and rolling mill applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project development, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably within the metals or similar heavy industry.
- Proven experience with automation systems, power systems, and drive technologies.
- Expertise in DC and AC drive system upgrades.
