Position Description : The Process Improvement Consultant conducts research and assessments and fosters strong stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality deliverables.

Minimum / General Experience : 8 years of consulting, management analyst, and process improvement experience; f ederal government experience required ; Department of Veterans Affairs experience (preferred); healthcare industry experience (preferred)

Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree in an associated discipline

Essential Skills / Qualifications :

  • Excellent experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research to inform project objectives and decision-making
  • Excellent experience analyzing data and information to generate actiona ble insights and recommendations
  • Excellent experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent experience creating and maintaining process documentation and supporting process improvement
  • Above average knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices
  • Above average experience coordinating deliverable developmen t
  • Above average experience supporting the creation of high-quality deliverables
  • Above average experience ensuring consistency and accuracy in project deliverables
  • Above average experience with meeting coordination
  • Above average experience preparing meeting agendas and materials
  • Above average experience documenting and distributing key takeaways from stakeholder meetings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective in interpersonal relationship building and collaboration
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment .

  • Assignment Location - Remote
  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
  • Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
  • Security : Ability to obtain / maintain a F ederal Civilian Public Trust

  • U.S. Citizenship or P ermanent R esident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years
  • Federal Civilian Public Trust Consists of a review of up to but not limited to :

  • Covers 5-10 year period and in some instances lifetime events
  • OPM Security Investigations Index (SII)
  • DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)
  • National Agency Check (NAC) records
  • FBI name check

  • Credit report check
  • Written inquiries to previous employers and references listed on the application for employment
  • Potential interviews with the subject, spouse, neighbors, supervisor, coworkers
  • Law enforcement check

  • Education check- Attendance and Degrees
  • Tasks / activities include, but are not limited to :

  • Performs detailed assessments, evaluations, and gap analyses to identify challenges and recommend solutions
  • Facilitates effective communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment and goal achievement
  • Assists in preparation of reports, briefings, and documentation to support deliverables and work products
  • Coordinates input from team members in support of project deliverables
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements
  • Records actionable tasks in support of client and stakeholder project goals
  • Maintains scheduling and coordination of project meetings
  • Documents and distributes minutes from stakeholder engagement meeting
  • Delivers gap analys es findings and recommendations
  • Analyzes specific issues and identifies potential alternatives
  • Supports project planning and timelines to meet objectives
  • Compensation & Benefits : The annual projected pay range for this position is $59,178.00 - $182,879.00 w ith consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
