Job Summary:
The Harbormaster I position is responsible for assisting senior staff in the management and operations of our Harbor or Port facility. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with vessel traffic management, mooring assignments, and cargo handling activities.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Port Terminal Tariff, Port regulations, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with harbor users to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Compile and maintain information on ship registries and characteristics.
- Coordinate with facilities personnel to complete customer requests.
Requirements:
- Relevant education or experience in maritime studies, business administration, or related field.
- Valid California Class C driver's license required.
- Ability to pass background check.
