2 - Health Care Technician position for 8 hours/183 workdays per year
1 - Health Care Technician position for 7 hours/183 workdays per year
This eligibility list will be valid for one year and will be used to fill any future vacancies during the time the list is active. Qualified candidates will be placed on an eligibility list on an ongoing basis.
Under general supervision of an assigned supervisor and/or credentialed school nurse, to provide assigned health services related to the medical and physical records and needs of students; to perform a variety of first aid, record keeping and clerical duties; to perform specialized personal and health care services for students as assigned; and to perform related work as required. This position is coordinated through the Pupil Services Department and monitored by the school nurses. Employment Standards
Experience: Experience equivalent to six months working in acute care coupled with some clerical background is preferred.
Training: Must be currently licensed as a Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in California.
Licenses of Certificates
Minimum of a LVN license required.
Possession of or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.
Possession of a valid first aid certificate and CPR certificate.
Supplemental Information
This is a Dual Certification recruitment: Candidates who attain a passing score on each examination part will be placed in rank order on an eligibility list after promotional credits are added to the composite test scores of promotional candidates. These examinations are open to permanent employees and the public.
Qualified candidates will be placed on an eligibility list on an ongoing basis.
