Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Pedricktown, NJ facility. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient maintenance craft skills to achieve plant goals and objectives. Your duties will include participating in and supporting programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe work environment. You will also conduct regular safety inspections, participate in housekeeping and critical items inspections, and perform routine adjustments and minor maintenance on equipment as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess an Associate's Degree in mechanical and/or millwright Technology or 3 years of industrial experience as a mechanic and/or millwright. NCCER certification in Millwright and/or Pipefitter is required within 6 months of employment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team, are essential. You must be skilled in equipment troubleshooting, pump maintenance, mechanical seal rebuilds, equipment alignments, gearbox repairs, fan & blower repairs, pipe fitting, safe use of shop tools, basic machining skills, and basic welding skills. Strong computer skills to interact with the computerized maintenance management system are also required.
