Description

Missions

  • To improve the company’s efficiency ratio and capacity utilization by limiting machine down time, reducing changeover time, and improving the production process.
  • To execute the Preventive Maintenance as scheduled.
  • To ensure highest level of safety for machine operation.

Scope

  • Machines and Machine Operators for all equipment used in production process.

Functions

  1. Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
  2. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  3. Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  4. Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using the appropriate testing device.
  5. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  6. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear as part of a preventative maintenance program.
  7. Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  8. Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  9. Record parts or materials used and notify supervisor to requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
  10. Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  11. Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
  12. Cut and weld metal or other appropriate material to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  13. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators via a structured training program.
  14. Implement projects developed in conjunction with Process Engineer to improve efficiency.
  15. Implement Safety related projects in conjunction with HSE team to avoid accident incidents during machine operation.

Qualifications


Education

  • Associates of Arts or Vocational Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, Hydraulics Engineering.
  • Certification in: PLC Programming, Forklift maintenance (operation a plus), Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance (TPM) Machining.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • OSHA Lockout Tagout Training Experience Requirements.
  • Hot Work Permit Training.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Manufacturing industry (Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, Distribution, Electronics).

  1. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  2. Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  3. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  4. Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  5. Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  6. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  7. Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  8. Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  9. Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  10. Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  11. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  12. Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.

Abilities

  1. The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  2. The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  3. The ability to adjust the controls of a machine quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
  4. The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
  5. The ability to detect or tell the differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness.
  6. The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  7. The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

Working Conditions
