Description
Missions
- To improve the company’s efficiency ratio and capacity utilization by limiting machine down time, reducing changeover time, and improving the production process.
- To execute the Preventive Maintenance as scheduled.
- To ensure highest level of safety for machine operation.
Scope
- Machines and Machine Operators for all equipment used in production process.
Functions
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using the appropriate testing device.
- Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear as part of a preventative maintenance program.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Record parts or materials used and notify supervisor to requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
- Cut and weld metal or other appropriate material to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
- Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators via a structured training program.
- Implement projects developed in conjunction with Process Engineer to improve efficiency.
- Implement Safety related projects in conjunction with HSE team to avoid accident incidents during machine operation.

Qualifications
Education
- Associates of Arts or Vocational Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation, Hydraulics Engineering.
- Certification in: PLC Programming, Forklift maintenance (operation a plus), Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance (TPM) Machining.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- OSHA Lockout Tagout Training Experience Requirements.
- Hot Work Permit Training.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a Manufacturing industry (Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, Distribution, Electronics).
