Job Summary
The Marine Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of marine vessels, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of marine vessels.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess the condition of equipment and systems.
  • Fabricate components using sheet metal and other materials as needed.
  • Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of equipment during repairs and installations.
  • Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems effectively.
  • Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vessel's needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.

Skills

  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments for accurate diagnostics.
  • Experience with fabrication techniques, particularly in sheet metal work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools and machinery safely.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as part of routine duties.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Knowledge of military-grade equipment is a plus, enhancing the ability to work on specialized vessels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
