Dr. Hill joined our team in July bringing with him extensive experience and expertise in oral surgery, along with a commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are currently seeking qualified professionals to work alongside him.
(approx. 30-34 hours per week)
Required : CPR certified, ACLS certified
Preferred: X-ray certification preferred, Dental Anesthesia Assistant Certification (DAANCE)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- IV and Surgical Assistance: Start IVs, assist the doctor during surgeries, seat patients, and take vitals. Maintain competency in anesthesia monitoring.
- Patient Documentation: Complete consent forms and treatment plans, document and maintain records/charting according to standards.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Provide pre- and post-operative instructions, obtain medical clearances, and ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain lab and adhere to OSHA and regulatory guidelines. Provide radiation protection for all patients according to TSBDE and TDH guidelines.
- Radiographic Imaging: Produce radiographic images that consistently display proper exposure techniques and correct anatomical positioning.
- Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
- Interpersonal Relations: Maintain good rapport and cooperative relationships with patients, doctors, and team members. Approach conflicts constructively, identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.
- Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to patients, doctors, employees, and visitors. Discuss sensitive information only among appropriate personnel in private settings.
- Patient Experience: Provide an excellent patient experience, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Patient-Centric Attitude: Genuinely serve our patients at every level, enhancing patient satisfaction and increasing office efficiency.
- Positive Impact: Positively influence patients, coworkers, referring offices, and the practice as a whole.
- Educational Background: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within a specified period after employment if not already certified.
- Experience Preferred: Previous experience in a medical or dental environment is preferred.
- Proven Growth: Demonstrated track record of growth or improvement within previous positions.
- Customer Service Expertise: Experienced with customer service techniques, ensuring a superior patient experience.
- Communication Skills: Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Adaptability: Willingness to take on other duties as assigned and adapt to the evolving needs of the practice.
