The Oyster River Cooperative School District is seeking full-time Special Education Teacher/Case Managers for our District. These positions are part of the Oyster River Teachers’ Guild, CBA.
Specific Core Function:
The Special Education Teacher/Case Manager is responsible for identifying, servicing, monitoring, and releasing students with disabilities ages 3-22 in accordance with the New Hampshire Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities, Federal laws, and School District curriculum, instruction, and assessment frameworks. The position collaborates with administration, school counselors, psychologists, teachers, related services providers, paraeducators, and other staff on behalf of students’ with disabilities; serves as a resource for information related to the special education process, interpreting data, specialized instruction, accommodations/modifications, universal design, and differentiated instruction. The position provides direct instruction and co-teaching in essential academic and social/emotional concepts across the general curriculum, as well as functions as a liaison between school and parents.Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Master’s Degree preferred)
- NH certification in General Special Education (1900)
- Skills, knowledge, and competencies related to principles and practices of Special Education
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Specialized training/certification in reading and math interventions such as, but not limited to, Wilson, LIPS, Orton-Gillingham, SPIRE, Lively Letters, Seeing Stars, On-Cloud Nine, Edmark, Number Worlds
