Job Summary:
The responsibilities of a Research Assistant are primarily research related. Research Assistants provide professional level support related to research such as administration of surveys, clinical data gathering, assisting in literature review and preparation of posters, abstracts and manuscripts under direct supervision of faculty members. A key element in this role is adhering to procedures and protocols provided by primary researchers. Success in this role is demonstrated by the successful and timely completion of all research and documents.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares interview questions and collects data
- Conducts research experiments
- Analyzes data and summarizes results
- Fact checks and proofreads manuscripts
- Generates graphs and spreadsheets to portray results
- Maintains research materials
- Prepare presentations for primary researchers
- Documents research processes
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Typical physical demands include prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping. Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
